KWerner colour inspo #50

Thought I would have another go at this challenge. The colours were quite difficult to work together, but had a go anyway. I stamped on choc chip cardstock with white Stazon ink using a fancy pants stamp, and then 'stitched' around the edge to make it 'pop'. I then used the new Heidi swapp invisibles paper and inked it with red, yellow and blue from the Stampin'up bold brights range. This paper is very cool, its clear embossed and repells ink so leaves a white pattern, check out you tube for demo.
I then punched out butterflies and stuck them on, along with the sentiment HB2U. ttfn C x

Passing the time...

I thought I would share another card I made last week. I bought a tiny butterfly punch at the supermarket, smaller than the one I really wanted, but cute anyway. My Mum also picked up some kraft cards for me at the Tavistock pannier market, have been looking for ages, why are they so hard to find?! I used Basic Grey and Bazzill amongst others. 1st Anniversary...

Well, what a year its been! It took a long time to persuade hubby that we should have a dog, so after broaching the subject with him, I thought it best to leave it alone as he was adamant it would not happen! After a couple of weeks, he'd had time to think, he said we should look to adopt from our local rescue centre! Well, we looked for 6 weeks, for a medium sized, placid, house trained dog... but we found Stella instead!! Her name was Poppy, she was barking her head off, and jumping around like a nutter! But we loved her and knew we wanted to take her home. She was a gift for Wes's birthday, and he was over the moon. Well a year on, it's been hard work training her, she still has a way to go (like not chasing cars!), but she has got us out of the house, going on lovely walks to places we didn't even know were on our doorstep, and making us laugh all the time. Wes has just started studying for a diploma in dog behaviour and wants to become the British Dog Whisperer! (hail Cesar Milan!). In honour of this I have made a book to send to the dogs home, to thank them, and to let them know how she is doing. I made the book using Kristina Werner's Digital cutting kit, Card shapes, and made a waterfall style book with them, and then used journaling shapes 1 to add text. I also used her card frames and sentiments brushes, and added some other digi brushes to them. There are quite a few pic's, hope you enjoy, C x

Say Cheese!

Had to share these pictures of our holiday, we were having lunch on Barn Hill and hubby pointed the camera at us, and unknowlingly we all pulled a daft face! Poor man will never get a good pic of me and our boys. The other is a photo of about half of the group of us who go to Dartmoor every year, and we are all related! people are often amazed that 24 people from the same family can have such a good time together, and we do. Just walking the dog..

What a beatiful day here in the west country. Not a lot to tell really, still in lazy mode! Took the dog for a walk at the local forest, she had the best time. She was quite fearful of water before we went on hols, now she loves it, trouble is she runs through the smelly boggy stuff too so our black and white collie came home all one colour! The garden hose soon sorted that out. Number one son came home at 2.30 this morning, so haven't seen much of him, and my youngest has been catching up on coursework, so crafting time was peaceful! Here are a couple of cards I've had fun making. enjoy C x

Where did the sunshine go?

Having a lazy day at home, Dan has coursework to do, Jon has been on photoshop (now theres a surprise!) and Wes has just rolled out of bed and will be off to work in an hour. Had fun yesterday, both the boys had to be in town for 12, both important appointments, and the car wouldn't start! Ran down to MIL's house to borrow her car (on hols) and hers wouldn't start!! Was panicking slightly at this point, when at last it started. Everybody got to where they needed to be with 5 mins to spare. I pottered around Cabot circus waiting for them, walking back to the car I thought I had a stone in my shoe(high heels, I never where them!) and it turned out to be a blister under my toe, just about finished me off! Decided we were going to have take away to cheer me up! Anyway, been having some fun, with my craft robo and thanks to Kristina Werner's inspiring blog, and made this card from the Make a card Monday video on you tube. C u soon C x

Had to come home sometime...

We're back from our annual visit to the beautiful national park that is Dartmoor. We love it so much, we walk lots, rest lots, eat far too much and have loads of fun with 20 ish members of our extended family! Have so many pictures between us, mostly of our dog Stella on her first holiday, she had the best time C x
