So sick of the rain!!

What is going on with the weather? There can't be much of the wet stuff left! Well what else can I do but sit in my craft room? he he. I've been playing about on Photoshop, there is a great tutorial on Bits and Pieces ( in my blog list). Well here's my effort.

This is a photo of Dan at 7 or 8, at Westonbirt festival of gardens, this was a glass 'Dream ball'.

This is from 2007, at Padstow, I love the movement in this picture, he spent ages just jumping!
Used a great brush too.

off to tea at Ruth's, and I fully expect to be pampered tomorrow, well it is my birthday!!

Busy doing nothing...

So nothing much is happening around here, apart from the usual. This staying at home lark is not all it's cracked up to be, I Hate Housework!! I've been scanning the papers and the internet for work, nothing grabs me yet. So been keeping myself busy between loads of ironing and yogurt making, with my paper crafting. I've actually done quite well this week, not all my creations are worth photographing, but here goes nothing!
This was inspired by Dawn McVey from the Card trends magazine.

Oh, and these were inspired from her blog!

and a couple of Stampin' up ones.

11 july 1992...

Yesterday was our 17th wedding anniversary, I know, I would have got less for murder!! We have had our fair share of difficult times, but also many, many good times. None more than our gorgeous boys, who make it all worth while. We had a lovely meal out, and then spent time with family later. This is in fact 1 of our anniversaries as we renewed our vows 41/2 years ago, i needed a new wedding ring, and Jon proposed again. That was fun! Thought I would leave you with a photo of a young couple crazy in love, amazing how things change!! LOL! Happy sunday x

A typical british summer

I'm sat looking out of my craft room window at the blowing trees and the falling rain, what happened to summer? Well at least Wimbledon was dry this year! Well staying indoors means creative time, so I have made this card for my niece Kerrie, who moved in with her boyfriend last week.

Scrapaholix

Had a great day at Kim's today, created 3 layouts even though I wasn't that inspired by the kit. I do find it's a good idea to sit next to my very talented sister and pinch her ideas!! Will post my efforts later.
Nan Maur found a Ukelele and gave it to Dan, he's now playing 'beat it' George Formby stylee!
At Phil's for an all afternoon BBQ
A photo of me and Wes in 1989, been meaning to scrap for years.

Uncle Mart and Max in the wheelchair swing, we asked if it made his tummy funny, he said 'no, it makes my willy funny'!!(Max not Mart!)

One sentence

I've not been blogging well lately, I think I put pressure on myself to create and blog, instead of just put down my thoughts. Inspired by Ali Edwards' blog to finding happiness, I'm going to put my feelings down in one or two sentences, could be theraputic.
Had a great couple of days with Wes, he's been good company and very chatty, it lifts my heart.
Have been inspired to read the Bible more, have been a rubbish christian for the last 20 odd years, so have set the Bible gateway link to read the Bible in a year on my blog. Feels good. I actually feel like I'm understanding for the first time in years.
