Nigella my hero...

OMGosh, have just made THE most amazing choc chip cookies! What's so great about choc chip cookies? I hear you say, they're ok if you have a cookie shaped hole to fill, but the fabulous 'N' drizzles her's with a mint choc glaze! They taste amazing, and the glaze is cool when you eat it, Sooo good! Anyway I thought I would make you all drool with my lovely, chocolatey mintness! C x

Rather mooving

Hubby and I drove to an old MoD building, miles away in the middle of the countryside, to indulge his passion of taking photo's of run down old buildings (I don't get it either!) Not really my thing, and I would rather be in bed at stupid o'clock on a sunday morning, but we need to spend more time together. He finds walking through creepy old buildings fascinating, I just find them, well... Creepy! I would rather take a shot to preserve a memory, or tell a story. I did have a go, not great results, and I don't think this hobby is for me. We did however walk past a field of very handsome cattle, and I got some cute shots of them instead. I may not have learned much about photography, but I learned that to give time creates it's own memories.

I was fascinated by seeing the man-made objects in a natural environment, maybe thats my thing?

No, this is not in my house, just looks like it!

Told you it was creepy! (not you babe!)

phew, thats better. We were fascinated by the fact that these chaps followed us all the way around the field, then I remembered I was wearing a bright red coat! Glad there were no horns!!

Category stories

The category stories prompt this time is 'Laugh'. They seem a little stressed over there at the moment, and need us to share what makes us laugh. I don't scrap her a lot, but we're getting the best photo's of Stella at the moment. She makes us laugh all the time, but we don't always capture it. So here's my layout of just one of the antics of our mad doggy. C x

just one more!

Whats going on with me?

Making a comeback

I told you I liked the colour combo from the Raspberry suite colour challenge! I made another card, using a great technique which I saw on Inspired Scrapper's blog (also in the challenge) where she did a tone on tone background using punches. I punched out lots of flowers from Kraft cardstock, and stuck them randomly on a Kraft card. This gives a great background, whilst still being able to add more detail. I love the effect, and I'm sure it's not a new idea, but it's not one I've seen. Thanks Kera, (check out her blog, the card is gorgeous!) See ya, C x

Raspberry suite challenge #17

I decided to take part in this challenge because the colours are so gorgeous! I usually feel intimidated entering these things 'cause the standard is so high, so here goes nothin! I used Bazzill and Stampin' up cardstock, cuttlebug embossing folder, Amy Butler lotus flower stamp on the red card, by K & Co, and a cute little tag from a cutter file by K Werner. I added my own flower made from ribbon to balance it off. I've not used this colour combo before, but it feels really fresh, so you'll probably see it again! C x
