SLYMI

I'm jumping the gun a bit and posting for week 22 of SLYMI, they gave a hint on UKscrappers that the theme will be song lyrics. I've been scrapping photo's of my niece, and the lyrics from 'Shine' by The gorgeous Take That fitted perfectly. They look so happy and relaxed with each other, they seemed to shine. For you Kerrie, love you babe xx

Strike a pose

I was all set on saturday for our monthly Scrapaholix crop, when Kim called to cancel! She had a virus that had gone through the family and did not want to pass it on, so this meant staying at home again! I stomped around in a foul mood all day, the boys wish I had gone! Last week was a difficult one, youngest having a few problems at school, so I was stressed and looking forward to a creative day with the girls. Anyway, I had some lovely photos printed and didn't want them sat in the packet, so have been scrapping away. These are some photos that my hubby took of my beautiful neice, Kerrie, and her chap, Chris. Great fun was had, even the dog tried to join in! I hid the journaling behind the main photo, and it talks about they loved posing around in front of the camera, in the end hubby took more than 200 shots, all of them are on Kerr bears facebook page! I added a shot of the Basic grey chipboard bird, which I heat embossed with my new American crafts Zing powder. Hope you enjoy! C x

KWerner Colour challenge #51

This is my attempt at Kristina's next challenge, it's actually my 2nd one, but I was not happy with the first even though it took a whole day!! I cut the shaped card on my Robo using Kristina's digital cutting file, and the gorgeous butterfly in various sizes. I then cut 3 more butterflies in whisper white and embossed them on my Sizzix. I hopped onto Photoshop and using KWerner's card and sentiment brushes I printed off the Thank you 'stamp'. I stuck the coloured B'flies on top of the white ones and adhered them to a mat of Basic grey perhaps paper, whisper white and mustard cardstock.

Just a close up of the brush and Butterfly layering. Although I have not added any other colour, the paper I have used is quite tonal, I'm really pleased with this one.
